This was the last day of the tour. We packed up and left Indian Scotty around 8 am. The Rayway tarp, net tent and quilt worked well. I now have over 45 days using this equipment without any problems.

The scenery in the Scott Valley coming into Fort Jones was really spectacular. This pic does not really capture how beautiful the sky looked. So, I pedaled 15 miles to Fort Jones and met the wife there.

We ate breakfast in at Dave's which served up some good eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes and coffee. It was quite busy and a very popular locals place.
There was one more climb from Fort Jones over to Yreka on route 3. It was about 15 more miles and 1600' of climbing which was a nice way to burn off that big Roundup breakfast.

Once I got to Yreka my wife beckoned me to put the bike on the rack. Who am I to say no to such an invitation?

This was a great tour that rivaled the ones I have done in the Sonoma and Napa valleys along with anything in the Salt Lake to Jasper to Bellingham tour in terms of roads, low traffic, and scenery. I would do this again tomorrow. There are other possibilities like staying at motels, routing into Etna, and extending the tour 1 to 2 days with some figure 8 loops.
